## What is the FEAST test?

**FEAST stands for First European Air Traffic Controller Selection Test.** EUROCONTROL provides the FEAST battery to help participating organisations assess candidates for air traffic controller training. It is available worldwide to civil and military air navigation service providers and certified ATC training academies and universities.

The exact tests and stages depend on the recruiting organisation. FEAST I is generally associated with core cognitive and aptitude testing, while FEAST II can include more advanced work-sample tasks. EUROCONTROL also provides a **free official training platform** for familiarisation with almost all FEAST I tests; the platform does not include FEAST II.

Start with [What does FEAST stand for?](/feast/what-is-feast/) if you need the definition, [EUROCONTROL FEAST test](/feast/eurocontrol-feast-test/) for the official-service context, or the stage guides below for preparation.

## After selection: training in Europe

FEAST and similar tests assess suitability for training-they do not replace employer-led qualification. For what may follow selection in Europe (Basic Training, Rating Training, unit training, and OJT), see our [career hub](/career/#what-happens-after-atc-selection-in-europe) and [What happens after ATC selection in Europe?](/feast/air-traffic-controller-test-europe/#what-happens-after-atc-selection-in-europe). The official EUROCONTROL initial-training specification (Edition 2.0) is a training-content reference-not a description of FEAST-and is cited under Sources on those guides.
