UK air traffic controller salary

For UK candidates, NATS publishes trainee pay information for its trainee air traffic controller route.

NATS states that a Trainee Air Traffic Controller Apprentice starts with a package of £31,136.95 per year. This includes a basic salary of £22,375.80 and an annual accommodation allowance of £8,761.15 during basic training.

After basic training, NATS says salary rises to approximately £36,000 during unit-based training, depending on location and shift allowance. After successful completion of training, salary rises to £48,480 to £54,032, depending on the unit.
